Professor David Carless

Professor David Carless is the Head of Social Contexts and Policies of Education at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He has previously served as the Interim Dean of the Faculty and Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) of HKU. He has been the recipient of a number of awards, including the Faculty Outstanding Supervisor Award in 2013, the Faculty Research Output Prize in 2015 and the University Outstanding Teaching Award in 2016. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Professor Carless specialises in the scholarship of teaching and learning in higher education, with particular emphasis on the development of student feedback literacy.
